Exhibitor's Handbooks2015 Exhibitor Handbooks Are Online

The 2015 Merced County Fair Exhibitor’s Handbook is now two booklets – Junior & Senior Still Exhibits and a separate Livestock booklet. Both versions of the handbook, including entry forms, are available online here, in PDF format. Most entry forms are due May 7th. They can be downloaded, filled out and mailed or dropped off at the fairgrounds office or after March 30th exhibitors can submit their entries online for a small handling fee. [more]

Independent Exhibitor Deadline April 13Independent Exhibitor Deadline

April 13th is the deadline to meet certain requirements for independent junior exhibitors planning to enter their goats, sheep or swine at the 2015 Merced County Fair. That deadline date is 60 days before the fair, which is June 10-14. Independent junior exhibitors are those who are not 4-H or FFA members, according to a state rule. [more]

Farm Junk Sculpture Contest entriesGet Your Entries Ready for Farm Junk Sculpture Contest

The Fair's “Farm Junk” yard art sculpture contest will be held during the fair but it’s time to get working on those sculptures! Entry forms are due Thursday, May 7. Sculptures must be delivered to the fairgrounds, May 29 through May 31.

The works of art will be displayed at the fair and the “People’s Choice” judging system will be used, so fairgoers can vote on their favorite sculptures. The first place winner will receive $300, the second place prize is $150 and the third place winner will get $75. [more]

Tower of Power To Play Merced Fair

Tower of PowerTower of Power will bring their one-of-a-kind rhythm and blues to the Merced County Fair on Thursday, June 11. The band's hits include: “You’re Still A Young Man,” “Down To The Nightclub,” “So Very Hard To Go” and “What Is Hip?”

Fans will find a new lead singer, Ray Greene – and he’s a perfect fit for the band, co-founder Emilio Castillo said. “Most bands lose their singer and it’s over. But we’ve changed singers and other players so many times, the fans actually get excited about who’s next.” The band has had more than 40 members throughout its history.

The Merced County Fair is Wednesday, June 10 through Sunday, June 14. Each night a headline entertainment act will appear at 8:30 p.m. in the Outdoor Theatre, where all concerts are free with admission. Table Mountain FREE Concert Series is presented by Modelo Especial. [more]

Aaron Tippin Headlines Merced Fair

Aaron TippinCountry artist, Aaron Tippin, will perform Saturday, June 13, in the fairground’s Outdoor Theatre. He is celebrating 25 years as a recording artist, with hits including: “That’s As Close As I’ll Get To Loving You,” and “You’ve Got To Stand For Something." His hit “Where The Stars And Stripes And Eagle Fly,”is a song that became part of the nation’s soundtrack following 9/11. “I wanted to talk to Americans about who we are at heart, and the fact that when the going gets tough, that’s when we really stand up,” Tippin said.

He is currently working on a new album that is a real mix of old songs and some new ones, including some big band tunes – he’s a big fan of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. And growing up in Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina, he’d like to pay tribute to his roots – bluegrass, Gospel and Southern Rock. [more]


7eventh Time Down"7eventh Time Down" to Perform Opening Night at the Fair

7eventh Time Down, Christian music band’s latest hit is “The One I’m Running To,” from their second album, “Just Say Jesus.” The up tempo song spent 28 weeks on the Christian music charts, including Billboard. They will be headlining the Opening Day concert on Wednesday, June 10.

Livestock Exhibitor Camping During the Fair:
Reservations Will Be Taken April 1 Until May 9

Here's our online 2015 Camper Registration Form and rules.This is for junior exhibitors staying on the fairgrounds during fair week. Exhibitors must live outside a 15 mile radius of the fairgrounds to qualify for RV space. View and print the online form and return the completed form to the Fair Office between 4/1/15 to 5/9/15. 5 Best Days of Summer...

Merced County Fair is June 10-14, 2015: Advance discounts begin in May when fair admission tickets will be sold thru June 9th for $5 each or $20 for a "5-Pack." After June 9 general admission will be $7 each. Children 5 and under get FREE admission.
