The "Thank You Veterans" video that was shown at the fair received a 2nd place award in the “Viral or Video Documentation” category at the recent Western Fairs Association convention. The fair was competing with medium-sized fairs (50,000-150,000 total fair attendance).
"Thank You Veterans" video was shown continuously in the Pavilion throughout the fair. Prepared by Go Media Group of Merced's George Bertaina and Kao Her, it is a collection of veterans' and active duty service members' photos submitted by Merced County families, as well as archive photos, dating back to the Civil War, and current footage, produced in a spectacular, professional presentation commemorating this year's fair theme.
