Reserve Now for Free Fair Tours for Kids
Hands-on Ag education is the goal of a special one-day only event at the 2008 Merced County Fair. The fair offers special tours of exhibit buildings and Old MacDonald’s Farm for children’s groups from area schools, Scouting organizations and summer recreation programs. Reservations for the free tours are available now for Thursday, July 17. The tours, which last about an hour, are offered from 9 a.m. to noon. Read All About It

Milk Producers' Contest Turns 50
A lot has changed in 50 years and thanks to the Merced County Fair’s Milk Producer’s Quality Control Contest for Grade “A” Dairies, the milk and other dairy products we enjoy today taste much better than they did in 1958. The contest, which is reportedly the largest of its kind west of the Mississippi River, celebrated its 50th anniversary event at the Merced County Fairgrounds. The 35th District Agricultural Association welcomes you to the Merced County Fair web site. The Fairgrounds is located in Merced, California, part of the sunny central San Joaquin Valley. The Merced County Fair serves the local ag community plus area residents with a fair each July featuring great entertainment, music headliners, rodeo, auto and motorcycle racing, tractor pull, midway fun, rides and thrills for all ages! Our fair exhibitors present an array of exhibits which include agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, art, photography, crafts, hobbies, home arts like baking and sewing, mechanical science, large and small animal showing, judging and auctions. In addition to the fair, our facilities are available for rent to host a variety of events year around. We have indoor and outdoor rental facilities for trade shows, music productions, dog shows, car shows, wedding receptions, parties, club sponsored events, conventions, conferences, seminars, flea markets, farmers market, home and garden shows, even family and class reunions!
